“If you want the traditional farmhouse experience, this is it, with fabulous local walks to the Holy Well and Lough Gill and views over Knocknarea. Hugh and Catriona are very hospitable with a bottle of wine, homemade bread and fresh, farm eggs to welcome you.”

“The Old Farm Cottage was simply fantastic — three full bedrooms with double beds in each, a large dining room, separate living room with wonderful fireplace, a kitchen with everything you need to cook, and fantastic deck overlooking the country side with a new grill. We even had a garage to store our tandem bicycle, and off street parking for the car. The cottage was super clean, quiet, and really was a home away from home. The kitchen was so functional, we cooked all our meals at the cottage! Hugh and Nina (the owners) were special, giving us great guidance on things to see and cycle routes to ride. We have been traveling to Europe almost every year for over 10 years, and Sligo and the Old Farm Cottage was one of the very best trips and places to stay ever — 5 “gold” stars!”

“Booked the cottage as a family of 5 (three teenagers) in preference to a hotel in town. The cottage is close to town (5-7 min drive) but in a very scenic spot. A great size to spread out in as a family and everything you need provided – including a generous welcome basket. Hugh and Catriona were lovely – very helpful with advice on sights and restaurants to try and always easy to contact. Kids loved having chickens outside and sheep in the field next to us. If we come back to Sligo (very likely) we will definitely book again.”
